Confirming again today that I saw the Common Loons (April 18, at Sam Smith). I 
dipped on the Eider though, unfortch. Thanks for all the updates. They made 
this Ottawa tourist a happy girl at the park today! I did, however, get nice 
freakshow looks at Long-tailed Ducks still in their winter plumage. The 
American Widgeons also made their presence known (see my recent Facebook 
photos).
