Hi All,
The Ruff was located this morning around 9:00am at the back (north)
flooded field 500 meters from Britannia road. It soon flew into the
flooded field beside Britannia road and spent most of the day there.
Feeding and dozing at half hour intervals. It would return to the same
straw mound on the mini mud islands squat down and sleep. Around 20
Lesser, a few Greater Yellowlegs and some Killdeer were the only other
Shorebirds I saw. At around 6:30PM the Ruff and all the Yellowlegs flew
high circled the field near the road and then flew to the back field out
of site. Neither the Ruff nor the Yellowlegs came closer than 100 meters
to the road all day making good images impossible but I did manage a few
distant images.
