Yesterday at about 9:00 a.m. my wife and I saw a pair of Upland Sandpipers in a pond on Everatt SR (north of Ferndale and east of Hwy 6). This is the same area where a pair of the same species spent most of the summer last year so hopefully they are setting up shop again. Bob Cunningham
