Hey folks. A friend of mine (crazy Dave if any of you know him?) phoned me about a Willet yesterday evening at Sam Smith Park in Etobicoke. I went down but the bird was gone so I took a walk around the several outer penninsulas and eventually to my delight I heard a Willet calling and then the bird flew in across the bay from another peninsula and circled the area several times before dissapearing again along the rocky shore somewhere. The bird was obviously not all that happy about all the dogs and lack of habitat... poor thing!
Directions: Park is at foot of Kipling Ave. Bird was seen amongst southern peninsulas, but flying all over.
