I birded Hanlan's Point from about 10am-1pm today. A good list of birds, though
I missed the target species of Fish Crow and Cape May Warbler. (No crows at
ALL!)

Highlights (the unusual suspects)
-Many Long-tailed Ducks, males in various stages of molt from winter to
breeding.
-Canvasback
-Common Tern colony on a raft in the pond just east of Hanlan's Point
-Willow/Alder Flycatcher. Unable to determine species, no song!
-Several Veery
-Swainson's Thrush
-Yellow-throated Vireo
-Several Blue-headed Vireo
-Blackburnian Warbler
-Palm Warbler
-Northern Parula
-Ovenbird
-Two male, and one female Scarlet Tanagers
-Rose-breasted Grosbeak
-Northern Flicker

Off to Rondeau tomorrow for American Woodcock and Whip-Poor-Whil. (and those
blasted Cape May and Cerulean Warblers!) Happy Birding!

-Julia Freedman
