Hello Birders, There was excellent birding, despite periods of torrential rainfall, at Kortright this morning. The highlight was a WHITE-EYED VIREO on the Northeast side of the Parking Lot, in a mixed flock containing many Chestnut-sided Warblers and catbirds.
All of the common warbler species were present, the most common being Chestnut-sided and Nashville this morning. Rose-breasted Grosbeaks and Baltimore Orioles have also arrived, as well as Least Flycatchers. Piles of other common migrants also. DIRECTIONS: The Kortright Centre is located three kilometers west of Highway 400 and one kilometer south of Major Mackenzie Drive at 9550 Pine Valley Drive in Woodbridge. Good Birding, Lev Frid _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
