I hadn't heard any reports from the Holland Landing Lagoons so decided to
check them out this morning. The first cell had very high water levels and
only held a small number of ducks (Wood, Mallards & Blue-winged Teal), 7
Spotted, 1 Least & 2 Solitary Sandpipers. The second cell had much lower
water levels, providing good shorebird habitat but only had a few Spotties
and more ducks. The third cell had very high water and had no birds in it.
The fourth and most easterly cell had a small amount of shorebird habitat
along edges and there were 3 L. Yellowlegs, a Solitary Sandpiper and a
number of ducks and 82 Bonaparte's Gulls (including 2 JUV).
