On the evening of 13th and 14th at Tiny Marshes, near Wasaga Beach, I witnessed thousands of blackbirds, mostly rewinged, with a few grackles, coming in over the trees to roost in the reeds. My count of the huge numbers came in at around thirty thousand.
They flew in for over an hour. There seemed to be far more males than females. sylvia naylor _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
