Raptor Observations: Good counts of 45 Sharp-shinned Hawks and 20 Broad-winged Hawks made the day good. Two more Bald Eagles went over along with 3 more Merlins. 83 was the total for the days count. Non-raptor Observations: Lots of Monarch Butterflies along with Ring-billed and American Herring Gulls were being seen on the move all day long. A good number of Rough-winged and some Barn Swallows were also going past. An Eastern Kingbird and a Common Loon also went by. Predictions: Flight for Sunday should be about the same since we are still in the same kind of weather set up as the first few days. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Seth Cutright ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
