Weather:
sunny; light-medium N winds, Bar.pr.101.4 rising, TUV=2, 22C

Uncertainty reigned from 0800 to 0930EDT; then small kettles of Broad-wingeds appeared in the east. For the next 3 hours we were challenged by the clear blue sky, and the hawks were
coming in on several flight paths-- 293 Broad-wingeds were counted.
This was our first day with a reasonable BW count.
2 BALD EAGLES came through-- a 3rd yr. at 1007, an adult at 1120.

Migrating Raptor Observations:
26 turkey vulture, 1 Osprey, 2 Bald eagles, 1 N.Harrier, 97 Sharp-shinned, 293 Broad-winged,
7 Red-tailed, 72 Am.Kestrel, 1 Merlin, 2 Unidentifieds.

Non-raptor Observations: very few--marsh wren, 6+ hummingbirds, black-&-white warbler,
Am.redstart, rose-breasted grosbeak, 2 GREAT  EGRETS, common  yellowthroat,
catbird, cedar waxwings, red-breasted nuthatch, among others.

Monarch Butterflies--5

From the 401 eastbound, exit at Salem Rd. in Ajax, south to Bayly, then
east through LakeRidge Rd. to the first street beyond--Hall's Rd.--south
toward the lake to the second roadside parking area.
