Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 15:45:00
Total observation time: 8.75 hours

Official Counter: Seth Cutright

Observers: Darlene Friedman, Jeff Schultz, Keran Markey,
Patrick Mulawa, Raburn Howland, Rodney Laura

Visitors:
Around 25 or so people came by today.

Weather:
The days weather was mostly clear visibility and North-East winds. The
winds were around 5-8MPH or 3-6MPH. Cloud cover was around 50% most of the
day.

Raptor Observations:
Today I think was a slight let down for those who showed up to see a good
Broad-winged Hawk flight. The best time of the day today was from about
2:30PM until 4PM. In 30mins. we had 1,450 Broad-winged Hawks. With 2,017
total for the day.

Non-raptor Observations:
The weather and time of year seemed to be right for a good flight today but
it never really happened.

Although not many raptors moved most of the day, Blue Jays were on the
move, with around 3,000-4,000 counted. Another nice bird to see was a
Red-headed Woodpecker that flew right over, but going to the North.

Predictions:
It looks like Friday should be the start of the larger Broad-winged Hawk
movement and be good again Saturday. Weather looks to be about the same
but with more of a North-North-West wind at around 5-8MPH...
