50% cloud cover, then 90% sun, medium N/NW winds, Bar.pr.101.7 falling,
TUV=2, 20C
We certainly expected a bigger flight of Broad-wingeds, but it did not
materialize.
Migrating Raptor Observations: SEE TABLE BELOW
30 turkey vulture, 2 Osprey, 1 2nd yr. BALD EAGLE (at 1210EDT), 2 N.Harrier,
24 Sharp-shinned,
14 Broad-winged, 12 Red-tailed, 10 Am.Kestrel, 1 Merlin, 1 Peregrine falcon
and 8 Unidentifieds.
Non-raptor Observations: CAPE MAY WARBLER, 4 hummingbirds,
warbling vireo, red-eyed vireo, rose-breasted grosbeak, 2 GREAT EGRETS,
common yellowthroat,
cedar waxwings, PINE WARBLER, CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER, YELLOW-RUMPED
WARBLER,
BROWN THRASHER among others.

From the 401 eastbound, exit at Salem Rd. in Ajax, south to Bayly, then
east through LakeRidge Rd. to the first street beyond--Hall's Rd.--south
toward the lake to the second roadside parking area.
