I checked the Long Sault Parkway at noon and failed to find the Eurasian
Wigeon. For waterfowl there were only four American Wigeon, a few Gadwalls,
plenty of Mallards and a few Common Mergansers, plus Canada Geese. One odd
sight was several Turkey Vultures, wings spread, catching a few rays while
standing along the shore of one of the islands. At first glance I thought
that they were cormorants.

The Long Sault Parkway is accessible from County Rd 2 west of Cornwall. The
western end is at Ingleside (Exit 770 from the 401) and the eastern end is
at Long Sault (exit 778 from the 401). The islands along the parkway are
signed.
