This afternoon visited the Tilbury Sewage Lagoons. 2 Hudsonian Godwits (adult & 
immature), 2 juv. Stilt Sandpipers, at least 4 Long-billed Dowitchers, 2 
Pectoral Sandpipers, several Greater, Lesser Yellowlegs, Least Sandpipers and 
Killdeer. Also, 2 Northern Shovelers, Blue and Green-winged Teal, Great Blue 
Heron, Great Egret, etc.
At Wheatley Harbour an adult Red-necked Phalarope fed close to the breakwall on 
the east side.
 
Directions : From exit 56 on the 401, go west on County Road 42 (Mill Street 
W.) for 
0.5 km.
Turn right (north) on Edgefield (formerly Richardson Sideroad), go to 
the end and turn right (east) on
Lakeshore 303 (formerly 3rd Concession which is Cloutier at the east end 
in Tilbury!).
The sewage lagoons are about 2 km. down this road, you can see the new 
treatment plant on the south side.


For Wheatley Harbour, drive south from #401 at Tilbury on #1, also known as 
Wheatley Rd. This can be accessed from Mill Street in the centre of Tilbury 
where it meets Queen St. Opposite Queen is Wheatley Road.
