Weather:
Started with West winds at around 0-3MPH. Then changed to East later in
the day. Visibility was clear and cloud cover went from 0 to 75%.
Raptor Observations:
1,244 Turkey Vultures went over. In the 12:00-1:00 bird hour in a short
time a Juv. Red-shouldered Hawk, Golden Eagle, and Peregrine Falcon went
right over the count area. The Golden Eagle was an adult and the very
first of the count season.
Non-raptor Observations:
9,460 Blue Jays were counted too. A Green-winged Teal also flew past.
