Hi All,

The 2 Red-necked Phalaropes found by George and Mark Peck on Friday are
still at the Townsend Sewage Lagoons, as of this evening around 1800h.

Other birds Yousif Attia and I found at the lagoons from 1700h-1800h:
Bobolink (lone, late bird)
Short-billed Dowitcher
Lesser Yellowlegs
Northern Shoveler
about 200 Tree Swallows,
Barn Swallow
Myrtle Warbler
Palm Warbler
Ruddy Duck
Northern Harrier
Cooper's Hawk
Merlin
Red-tailed Hawk
American Pipit
Horned Lark
Mallard
Lesser Scaup
American Coot
Great Blue Heron
Ring-billed Gull
Red-winged Blackbird
E. Starlings

Directions to Townsend (as per the Burrell's):
>From Simcoe, travel east on Hwy 3 for about 14km, then turn north on #74 (
Townsend Parkway) toward the town of Townsend. Take the first left, 14th
Concession, and the lagoons are on your right, less than 1km down the road.

>From the 403:
Take 403 Hamilton exiting at 6 south. Follow 6 around Caledonia, through
Hagersville turning right at Nanticoke Creek Parkway. Follow the Parkway
into Townsend and turn left onto Keith Richardson's Parkway. Turn right at
Concession 14 Townsend
Rd and the lagoons are on the right between the first and second farms on
the right hand side.
