Hi All, The 2 Red-necked Phalaropes found by George and Mark Peck on Friday are still at the Townsend Sewage Lagoons, as of this evening around 1800h.
Other birds Yousif Attia and I found at the lagoons from 1700h-1800h: Bobolink (lone, late bird) Short-billed Dowitcher Lesser Yellowlegs Northern Shoveler about 200 Tree Swallows, Barn Swallow Myrtle Warbler Palm Warbler Ruddy Duck Northern Harrier Cooper's Hawk Merlin Red-tailed Hawk American Pipit Horned Lark Mallard Lesser Scaup American Coot Great Blue Heron Ring-billed Gull Red-winged Blackbird E. Starlings Good birding, Christian Directions to Townsend (as per the Burrell's): >From Simcoe, travel east on Hwy 3 for about 14km, then turn north on #74 ( Townsend Parkway) toward the town of Townsend. Take the first left, 14th Concession, and the lagoons are on your right, less than 1km down the road. >From the 403: Take 403 Hamilton exiting at 6 south. Follow 6 around Caledonia, through Hagersville turning right at Nanticoke Creek Parkway. Follow the Parkway into Townsend and turn left onto Keith Richardson's Parkway.
