Official Counter: Seth Cutright
Observers: Fred Kirn, John Elliott, Paul Cypher, Rodney Laura,
Terry Angevine
Visitors:
7 or so people stopped by today.
Weather:
Visibility was clear, and cloud cover went from around 60% early to 100%
later. Wind was around 5-10mph and from the West-South-West.
Raptor Observations:
Today seemed like a good day after some bad weather days. Over 1,000
Turkey Vultures went by today. Then over 100 Sharp-shinned Hawks also were
counted. It was neat to count 42 Broad-winged Hawks, and even 3 Peregrine
Falcons. One of the Peregrine Falcons even went by with a bird it had
caught.
Non-raptor Observations:
A lot of Red-winged Blackbirds went by most of the day, along with Blue
Jays.
Predictions:
Tuesday looks like rain later in the day so birds might move before hand.
