Almost no wind all day with it only getting to be 3mph at the most late in the day. When there was wind it was from the East. Visibility started out clear, and then fog moved into the background to the East and North-East. Raptor Observations: Today was mostly slow. Only one good half hour of movement. In that half hour 411 Turkey Vultures went by. Before and after that time none. Sharp-shinned Hawks were slow but went by most of the day. Non-raptor Observations: 4 Common Loons went over, and 2 Red-necked Grebes. Many Horned Larks went over, and several Eastern Bluebirds did too. An American Pipit was heard going over and a Dickcissel was also heard with one of the Blackbird flocks. Brown Creepers can be seen and or heard around the area lately as well. Predictions: Looks like rain tonight and maybe very early in the day. Then again around noon. But before and after that it should be clear, and have a light Northeast wind. If that holds up and not much rain happens in the day time count hours then it could be a good day after many days of East, or Southwest winds. But if the rain and or wind does not do what they say then it could be slow again. Or if rain then maybe no count or only a part of a day count. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Seth Cutright ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
