For over a week there have been reports of a couple thousand Greater Snow Geese near St. Isidore east of Casselman. From Tuesday through Thursday between 2-3000 birds birds have been frequenting the fields north and south of the exit for Hwy 138 (also east of Casselman). Last night there were about 7,000 in the area immediately south of Hwy 417 just off Hwy 138 - visible from the road.
Brian Morin Cornwall Take Hwy 417 east to the Hwy 138 exit (about 5 km east of Casselman). Head south about 0.5 to 1.5 km. The birds have been seen on the west side of the road either on the sod farm or in the open fields where corn has been harvested. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
