Weather: Slow all day. They said the weather was going to be West-North-West winds. As it turned out it was mostly West or even West-South-West. At times also when it was West or West-South-West down along the ground, the upper wind was North, so lots of difference between the two sometimes. Visibility was good all day long. Cloud cover was around 85% all day with winds around 15-30mph. Raptor Observations: Only 55 raptors were counted. 17 Turkey Vultures, 11 Sharp-shinned Hawks, and 18 Red-tailed Hawks made up most of the count. Non-raptor Observations: Predictions: Looks like more South or Southeast winds for Friday....should be slow again. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Seth Cutright ([email protected]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
