There was a Great Horned Owl in the pines along the north side of the Avon
River in the TJ Dolan Natural Area this morning. It was being mobbed by crows
and eventually flew. Also present this morning were Brown Creeper and Hooded
Merganser. A 2 hour walk yeilded 21 species which isn't bad for December.
