Hello Fellow Birders:Well, I am sorry to report that we have yet to find Mr. P.
This is the second day that we've not seen or heard him.As I stood watching his
favourite multiflora rose this morning the pair of cardinals that he normally
'shooed' away were hungrily feeding on the rose hips. The mockingbird also made
an appearance. Sue and I have just come in, from spending an hour, looking for
Mr.P. again. We've been literally, beating the bushes, and checking all of the
addresses that he has frequented in the past 5 weeks. Unfortunately we've come
up empty handed. Once again it is a bitterly cold day and most birds are
nestled into thick shrubbery and appearing just very briefly to feed etc. I
believe that the weather will continue to be very cold for the next couple of
days. For those of you, who are or were planning to try and see Mr. P. this
weekend, I fear that it may be a fruitless venture. I will make one more
'walkabout' later this afternoon, just before roosting time. I'll post, right
after that to update everyone.
Good luck and good birding.Dian
