Today with my son Jeff we visited the Niagara Gorge. We had a very
good day. Our highlight of the day was the fly by at Niagara on the
Lake in the evening. We had 1 Black-headed Gull, 8 Little Gulls, 7600
Bonaparte's Gulls, 110 White-winged Scoters, 600 Long-tailed ducks, 1
Common Loon and 1 Canvasback.
At Sir Adam Beck we saw 17 Iceland gulls, 2 Thayer's Gulls, 1
Glaucous Gull, 2 Lesser Black-backed Gulls and many Ring-billed and
Herring Gulls.
On our way there, we observed 5 Turkey Vultures at the intersection of
Highway 403 and Jerrysville road, Just east of Brantford.
We also stopped at Grimsby and we were able to locate the Barnacle
Goose.
