Hello, Greg Norwood, Mark Dettling and I are on a birding trip and we found a good variety of birds just north of the new pier at Spencer Smith Park. In the rafts of waterfowl we found Long-tailed DuckCommon GoldeneyeAll three Scoter'sRB MerganserBuffleheadGadwallBlack DuckMallardGreater ScaupCanada GooseBrant at the Hospital - 2 Pale-bellied birdsBarrow's - Adult Male in stunning plumage and easy to ID once in the scopeKing Eider - Female seen well All birds were bouncing around in the large, groomed, rolling surf, wish we had a surf board!
