Hello Birders, After no luck on the Yellow-throated Warbler, I located the drake and two hen HARLEQUIN DUCKS at Saddington Park. I originally found them in the West End of the park but later on in the east end, so they apparently move around quite a bit. They were never too far from shore, however.
Accompanying the Harlies were several Long-tailed Ducks, and, remarkably, a hen BARROW'S GOLDENEYE with a few Common Goldeneye, giving awesome views of the two together, the Barrow's block-shaped head and olive-yellow bill standing out very well. An adult BALD EAGLE flew by briefly. Lots of the regular overwintering waterfowl were also present. Red-breasted Mergansers were putting on a show, doing their "salute-curtsy" displays farther from shore. Directions: Saddington park is located at the south/east end of Mississauga Rd. S.
