Hey folks. After Lev Frid and I had a depressing afternoon birding the Niagara
River with no luck (from anyone) of the either 'Mew' Gulls I started back home.
Kenny Burrell called to say he had 2 Female King Eiders at the base of
Fruitland Rd. in Stoney Creek, just east of Hamilton. We actually found a 1-st
Basic Male bird and were kind of dumb-founded, then we finally picked out
either 1 or 2 female King Eiders in a very different part of the lake. I
confirmed with Kenny that neither of his birds were the young male.

So there are AT LEAST 3 King Eiders now. None of the birds were all that close
though.

Queenston Boat Docks in Niagara had 1 LBBG and 1 LIGU. 1 Iceland gull
(1st-basic) was on rocks where Mew has been seen this last week.

Cheers,

Andrew Keaveney
