This is a belated report of a trip to Amherst Island last Thursday, the 7th.
Gary Little and I birded the island and found Long-eared, Short-eared,
Boreal and Northern Saw-whet Owls in the 'Owl woods'. A Snowy Owl was
sighted on the KFN property. After disembarking from the ferry and driving
towards the 401 on County Road 4, a Barred Owl was spotted on a utility
pole.
