Hello all,

Well what a quiet season so far.

Gowganda has lots of Blue Jays. I have had 6 at the same time on my table feeder but counted 4 others in the branches above the feeder....and they are here everyday.Gray jays are numerous as well. I am the only one in the small village who has American Gold Finches..a flock of 14. Chickadee numbers are down again..after a brief flurry of activity just before Christmas. One lone Evening Grosbeak visited yesterday , however there is a small flock that moves thru' every few days and Pine Grosbeak numbers are up and down and neither of the groups come to the feeders everyday. Depends on the weather of course. My neighbour has one lone Snow Bunting that spends a good part of the day on her back deck.
Both Hairy and Downy Woodpecker numbers are down as well.

Cheers, Gert
