As expected, the main migration was a two-day event on Monday and Tuesday.
Two small flocks passed over Cornwall Wednesday, down 99% from the previous
day's count. The massive flock at Williamstown had thinned yesterday but
there were still a couple of thousand birds present late in the afternoon.
A second flock of 1000+ was located in fields at Curry Hill. There were
none on the St. Lawrence. It is likely that many of the birds from the
previous days dispersed through the counties so this is where the hunt
begins.

Cornwall

Directions: Take Hwy 401 east past Cornwall to the Summerstown Rd. exit
(#804). Turn left over the 401 and head 5 km north to Cty Rd. 19 (there's a
stop sign immediately after the bridge. Turn right on 19). Head east to
Williamstown and in Williamstown turn right after the bridge (John Street).
Check the field behind the Char-Lan Recreation Centre in the town. Continue
a kilometre outside town and watch the fields on the curve in the road and
around the bend.

If this location doesn't work out, you could proceed to Cty Road 34 and
head south to Hwy 401. Proceed east and take the Curry Hill exit. Head back
west on old Hwy 2 which parallels Hwy 401 on the north side. The birds were
in the first field over the overpass. Barring that, there should be flocks
along autoroute 20 (continues from 401) in the first 10-15 km inside the
Quebec border.
