The Western Grebe was viewed by myself and two other birders off the bow of the
old barge around 4:15 P.M. Later, at 4:45 P.M., I saw it more directly off the
mouth of the river. There were also the three Harlequin Ducks nearby, around 40
Red-necked Grebes and at least one Horned Grebe. I also saw a mink perform
quite a swim, swimming from the rocks on the east side of the river over to the
west side. Saddington Park is at the foot of Mississauga Road in Mississauga.
