Hi,
I am a PhD student at Queen's University and I am working on the transfer of contaminants from fish to fish-eating birds in Lake Ontario. I will be focusing on CASPIAN TERN, COMMON TERN, DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANT, HERRING GULL and RING-BILLED GULL. I will conduct my study at Hamilton Harbour (ON) and Little Galloo Island (NY-US). Before going in the field, I would be interested in knowing about the breeding status of those birds: when they start building their nests, lay eggs and when chicks start to hatch. I would therefore like to use the help of ONTBIRDERS to know this information. If you have any useful information, please contact me at [email protected] . Note that sightings do not have to be at these exact locations - I am interested in any location around Lake Ontario. Thank you very much in advance, Raphaël _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
