A productive morning of birding at Black Oak got me, among other things,
a LeConte's Sparrow at around 9:30 this morning. The sparrow popped up
from the dense undergrowth for a good 20 second look, then
disappeared. The bird was seen from the main trail going west from the
parking lot, shortly after this trail intersects the extension of
Sandwich Street.
Other highlights of the morning were my first Green Heron of the year,
along with Cape May, Parula, and a pair of Blue-winged Warblers.
Black Oak is located off of Broadway, which runs west of Ojibway Parkway
on the west side of Windsor.
