At 1230PM Dan Kaczynski phoned me from the lakefront as he was
watching 7 *HUDSONIAN
GODWITS*.
Of course it is difficult to say how long they will stay there, but if they
stay it would be well worth the long walk.

>From the Lynde Shores C.A. parking lot (south side of Victoria St. halfway
between Lakeridge Rd. and Henry St.) in southwest Whitby walk through the
woodlot to the southbound trail. Take this trail south across the meadowland
for over a km., whence it joins onto the private roadway--walk down it to
the lakefront. Dan was seeing the birds near the waterfront just to the
east.

Thickson's Woods was very quiet this AM-- N.Parula, House Wren, Winter Wren,
Catbird among a few others.
