This afternoon Erwin Meissner of Massey, Ontario, saw and photographed an adult Golden-crowned Sparrow at West Bay (M'Chigeeng) on Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron. It was discovered yesterday at a feeder where there are White-crowned Sparrows. Erwin will file a report and photos with the Ontario Bird Records Committee. He isn't on email. Directions: From Little Current take Highway 540 west to main intersection in West Bay (M'Chigeeng). Turn right (north) on Bay Street (Corbiere St), then left on Spruce Road and follow west to Village Lagoon Road. On the corner of Lagoon Road and Spruce Road is a bluish white house, the only house on the corner with lots of feeders.
