Just a quick note that a/the adult Laughing Gull was present this afternoon from 4:30 p.m. to at least 6:30 amongst the crowd of "black and white" birds hunkering down at Hillman Marsh. It flushed a few times, but always came back and favored the far right of the main group, sitting with the imm. Ring-bills in the drier weeds. One of the two adult Little Gulls were also present, along with 2+ Black Terns. Shorebirds were highlighted by 9 crisp Long-billed Dowitchers and about a dozen each Dunlin and Black-bellied Plovers. A near adult Bald Eagle made a pass over the marsh around 4:20.
