This evening while watching the Beavers on the Headwaters of the Rouge river, there were many active migrants that have made their debut this week. We saw Yellow Warblers, Kentucky Warbler (? pretty sure), Tree Swallows, Baltimore Orioles - Male, Northern Cardinals both male and female, Red-winged Blackbirds and of course Canada Geese with Goslings. There is a nice trail system one can walk offering great views. In the evening from the Redstone Bridge I find great views as you are at tree top elevation.
Note: from the Redstone St. Bridge you can view the Beaver dam directly below the north side of the street. The evening usually is an active time for the beavers as they tend to their dam. Photos on my flickr site under 2010 York Region Wildlife will be uploaded shortly if you care to verify the Kentucky Warbler.
