Hello Ontbirds people, Thanks to Mark Gawn for posting the Little Gull & Arctic Terns etc. yesterday eve and this AM.
The Little Gull was still present and actively feeding below the Dechenes rapids east off the Britannia water purification plant at 12:00 today (17 May). At approx. 11:40, 5 Arctic Terns flew west over the rapids (quite early for this sp. to be moving through!) Also present were 5 adult Bonaparte's Gulls and 3 Common Terns as well as a Red-necked Grebe which has evidenlty been here since 14 May (quite late for this sp. to still be here in Ottawa!)
