A Prothonotary Warbler was singing and briefly seen in Backus Woods yesterday by myself, Dan Wylie and Sara Baker. Go north from #42 on East Quarter Line Road to the 4th Conc. and turn left(west). This road is unmaintained and deeply rutted in places. Park at the bridge and walk until you see a posted sign saying "No Motorized Vehicles" on your right, follow the trail a short distance until you see a wooded pond with a cabin.
