Subject: Warning: Tommy Thompson Park

FYI Ontbirders,
?
My laptop and a friend's credit card were stolen this morning from my rented
van (Sunday, May 23, between 8:30 and 11:00 AM)?while I and two friends were
birding the base of the Leslie St. Spit.? The van was?parked just?east of?the
gate on Unwin Ave.? This?is a reminder to birders to not leave valuables in
your vehicles and make sure they are locked while birding in this area.
?
Also, if anyone noticed anything suspicious this morning?in the vicinity of a
silver 2005 Ford Freestar minivan, please let me know at:
jjalava[at]yahoo.com?.? The incident has been reported to the police.
?
Best birds were a Northern Parula and?two Philadelphia Vireos, but?it was a
relaxed effort.? An Eastern Screech-Owl was heard calling in broad daylight,
but it didn't take us long to figure out that the owl was in fact?another
birder.
?
Happy and trouble-free birding!
?
The Leslie Street?Spit is reached by going south on Leslie
Street?from?Lakeshore Blvd. in Toronto to the entrance gate of Tommy Thompson
Park.
?
