Ontbirders represent!!!!

Waterfowl migration has started. We just spotted no less than 6 BLUE WINGED
TEALS in The Coves North Pond. The birds were a mix of female and first year
birds. We also had BELTED KINGFISHER, WOOD DUCK, MALLARD, KILLDEER. No sign of
the GREAT EGRET, but there are many nooks and crannies in the multiple ponds,
so it is likely still around and was just hiding or out of sight.

I'll be birding The Coves tomorrow, so if anyone is interested in coming along,
please call me at 226-663-8163, and I can show you around.

To access the North Pond, travel west on SPringbank Drive from WHarncliffe and
Horton. On your right hand side, a few blocks west is a giant billboard with
three ads. The North Pond is essentially just west of the North pond. Park on
FOrest Hill Ave, which is also just west of the billboard. But careful as this
street is now under construction, so likely parking during the week will be
problematic.

Yours in birding,

Len M
