A strong SW wind and intermittent rain showers were not conducive to a
good raptor count, but 7 observers managed to see 14 raptors work
their way against a strong SW wind at Cranberry Marsh RW over 3 AM
morning hours on Saturday, Sep.3.

--2TV, 5 OSPREY, 2 SHARP-SHINNED, 2 BROAD-WINGED, 1 KESTREL, 1 MERLIN
and 1 unidentified buteo

Among the non-raptors--- many hummingbirds, chimney swift, green
heron, Wilson's snipe, blue-gray gnatcatcher, warbling vireo, and
great views of warblers---BLACKPOLL, WILSON'S, NASHVILLE, N.PARULA,
MAGNOLIA, TENNESSEE, BLACK-THROATED BLUE, BAY-BREASTED, AM.REDSTART,

A reminder--I am able to get to the watch only if someone picks me up.
Otherwise I ask everyone to help by ensuring that someone has opened
the cupboard door to retrieve a page, upon which HOURLY DATA is
recorded, including hours in which 0 hawks were seen.

>From Victoria St. in SW Whitby, go 1 block east of Lakeridge, then
south down Hall's Rd., parking in the southern roadside parking area.
