A lot of dog walkers too. Weather: Started with sprinkles and ended with sprinkles. In between it was very comfortable. Sky mostly 100% overcast except for an hour in mid-coverage. Temperature 20C first four hours then 23-24C. Wind from south south west 6-11kmph (4-7 mph) but faster along beach. Barometer steady at 30.00 in Hg. Humidity in 60s early and 50s last three hours. Raptor Observations: Ospreys were the winners today. Most were going west along the beach of Lake Erie but several were over Big Creek Marsh north of the tower. Ring-billed Gulls made a steady stream along the beach too and each had to be viewed to sort out Ospreys. One lone Kestrel was recorded. One adult Bald Eagle drifted along the beach westward then acted like a resident by cutting out over the marsh and milling around. Non-raptor Observations: Again when the hawks are not moving the non-raptors seem to get the spotlight. The following were seen or heard from the tower. No viewing was done along trails or along the road or woods edge. Highlights include Traill's Flycatcher and Yellow-breasted Chat.
