All the species mentioned by Mark Kubisch yesterday were on the mudflats
again this morning, with the exception (I think) of the Spotted Sandpipers.
I missed the Red Knot, but a fellow birder reported seeing it. In addition
to yesterday's Pectoral, Baird's, Semipalmated, and Least Sandpipers, the
Short-billed Dowitcher, the Lesser Yellowlegs, and the Semipalmated Plovers,
there were a few Sanderling this morning.

Directions: Exit 401 at White's Road and go south to Bayly then east until
you see the Gingerbread Daycare Centre (a low brown building all by itself
in a large parking lot) on your right (there is a sign for it on Bayly St.).
Park in their parking lot and walk east from the SE edge of the parking lot
and follow the trail to the marsh then cross  the creek  to the mud flats
where the creek meets Frenchman's Bay. Boots required. Sitting to rest on
the old couch in the creek not recommended.
