Ontbirders betta' recognize!
Migration is representing with scads of birds having shown up in the last
couple days, but today was great in particular.
Warblers for the day were YELLOW WARBLER, CANADA WARBLER, MAGNOLIA WARBLER, BAY
BREASTED WARBLER, NASHVILLE WARBLER, and TENESSEE WARBLER, with another species
that I could not ID.
I also had BLUE GRAY GNATCATCHER, INDIGO BUNTING, and an EMPID FLYCATCHER,
which was either ALDER or WILLOW, which I could not ID for obvious reasons. But
this is a great occasion as it marks over 100 species of birds that I have
documented in Highland Woods. A small but special forest in south London, which
has many habitats.
SOuthern Ontario birders would be wise to keep an eye out in the next couple
days as it seems that migration is at its peak!
