Ontbirders represent!

I have been absolutely bombarded with e mails on how to access the woods, so
here they are for everyone to see. PLease note to those that I already sent
directions, that I had initially said to take a right at highview avenue when
travelling south on wharnccliffe.........this should read turn left. Taking a
right will lead you to the A-channel and Bob Fm building and nothing else!I
apologize for the mishap. Secondly, I instructed people when travelling down
highview to take a right at rossmore court, when in fact, it is a Left again. I
don't know what I was thinking!

I'll just copy and paste this from directions I have already sent out.

Here are directions

First, there is an open area with a ravine where you will find the
flycatchers and many warblers. From the corner of wharncliffe and
commissioners, head east on commissioners, and just before the big
appartment on the right, you'll see a parking lot for a small
plaza. Park here, and walk east on commissioners about half a block
until on your right, you see a path heading into a fielded area. Check
out this area, walking up the hills to both straight, and to the left.
Both paths hit houses or appartments, but this
small area usually has good birds.

The second area is a heavily wooded area where you will find more of
the big forest birds like black throated blue warbler and such.

>From wharncliffe and commissioners, travel south on wharncliffe, and
take a left at Highview Avenue. Travel down highview, and after it
curves to the right, on your left a couple blocks down is rossmore
court. Turn left here and on your left you will see a
catwalk. Park on the street and head in. After the board walk ends, you
can go left, which makes you leave, or you can head straight, and go
inbetween some homes for a while, but it goes back into a wooded area, which
houses a vernal pool which hosts waterfowl until about july.

Happy birding
