----------------------------------------------------------------------

Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Rob Payne

Observers: John Elliott, Paul Cypher, Rodney Laura

Visitors:
Almost all regulars, park workers, and volunteers.

Weather:
Warm and sunny with a bit more wind than yesterday. Temperatures got up to
75f today, with winds gusting in low 20s.

Raptor Observations:
It's been very off and on this week, as today was essentially dead. Only
505 raptors where counted today of 9 species. Turkey Vultures continue to
hide out somewhere, 392 where counted for the day. Accipiters and Falcons
continue to push through the wind, American Kestrel came in with 17. We
even had two Merlins. I wish there was more to tell you.

Non-raptor Observations:
More Dark-eyed Juncos continue to show up, and Blue Jays have only slowed
down a little in their cross-country wave.

Predictions:
Tomorrow is more than likely to follow the same pattern as the previous
days. We might get a few thousand, we might not. I believe one good cold
front from coming any where from the east would convince the birds to move
on. One was previously expected to ruin our good weather on Monday. As of
today it seems it will hit us Tuesday or Wednesday of this coming week.
Sunday and Monday look like the days to be prepared for a push.
