Never have I ever seen so many Red-Breasted Mergansers on Lake Ontario as I
did this morning.  A blanket from Bond Head to the highest point on the
Bluffs for 3 km. Lake Ontario looked black.  There were several hundred
Ring-Billed Gulls and Canada Geese among them.

Directions:  Take 440 exit off 401 south on Mill St. along Boulton and
Lakeshore Rd. south of Newcastle.
