Observation start time: 08:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 7 hours

Official Counter: Jim Pawlicki

Observers: Bob Pettit, Jim McCoy

Visitors:
Jim McCoy, Dave Tarcia, and Bob Pettit all stopped by at various times.

Weather:
Mostly cloudy with NW winds 6-8 km/hr and a high of 13C.

Raptor Observations:
A slow start, although things picked up in the afternoon with a steady
stream of high Vultures, Red-tails, and Red-shouldereds. Also seen were a
few Harriers, Sharp-shins, and Cooper's Hawks, in addition to 4
Rough-leggeds (3 light, 1 dark). A juv. Golden Eagle was spotted by Jim
McCoy and David Tarcia as it lumbered by low over the marsh at 12:05 DST,
while another juv. went by fairly high overhead at 2:36.

Non-raptor Observations:
Two Cave/Cliff Swallows were observed moving west at 11:01, but
unfortunately were only seen after they passed. Two Tree Swallows later
went by in the afternoon, also heading west. Around the tower was a late
Orange-crowned Warbler, along with Winter Wren, E. Phoebe, and 45 Rusty
Blackbirds. Moving overhead were 37 Tundra Swans, Common Loon, 4 E.
Bluebirds, and 6 Am. Pipits. Chickadees still moving with 65 tallied.

Predictions:
Sunny and cold with NW winds 30 km/hr and a high of 8C. Should be a decent
flight given the NW winds and clear skies.
