Observation start time: 10:00:00
Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter: Rob Payne

Observers: Don Sherwood, Fred Kirn, Paul Cypher, Rodney Laura

Visitors:
None, well if they where there early we might not have run into each other.
This hawk watch is considering hawk watching in Morse Code for the foggy
days.

Weather:
Today continued to be unseasonably warm for November. Winds were light from
the south east at about 4mph, and cloud cover was non-existent, if you
exclude contrails. Temperatures topped off at 58f, with no wind it made
today very comfortable. A large wall of fog rolled in around 11am, pushed
in from Lake Erie, and cut visibility down to feet.

Raptor Observations:
Once the fog lifted we got a nice little push, that gave us more birds than
yesterday did. 3 light morph Rough-legged Hawks were counted, as were 3
Golden Eagles. One American Kestrel in the mid-afternoon was an odd find.
Buteo movement continues to be slower than preferable.

A total of 40 raptors were counted of 8 species.

Non-raptor Observations:

At least 100 American Crows could be seen flying very high over the fog.
Rusty Blackbirds continue to be everywhere, and only seemed to become more
active with the fog.

Predictions:
Tomorrow is to be exactly as today, even with the morning fog. It will be
nice day to hang out at a park, but will more than likely be slow for hawk
watching.
