16.12.10 - between 2pm and 3pm, Dr Charles Smith & I found a Snowy Owl far out
on a field
east of Yonge Street, south of Ravenshoe Road. The bird was dark and should be
easily seen
against snow. One female Northern Harrier and a large flock of Snow Buntings
were also seen
in the vicinity. An adult Merlin was seen on Lakeside Road South and among some
roadside
polars, two porcupines were seen feeding on bark.
